What is fire equipment and systems maintenance? It’s the planned inspection, testing, servicing and recordkeeping that keeps every fire safety component in your building genuinely ready to perform. That includes sprinklers, fire alarms, suppression systems, fire pumps, hydrants, hose reels, detection and passive fire protection. At First Advanced, we deliver scheduled and reactive maintenance across Saudi Arabia and Qatar, following the inspection intervals required by NFPA codes and the service procedures specified by each equipment manufacturer.
Why is fire system maintenance so essential? Because fire safety systems sit silent for years until the day they’re tested for real. Pumps need to start on demand, valves need to open, detectors need to sense, alarms need to sound, and suppression agents need to discharge at full design concentration. Any one of those failing turns a controlled incident into a catastrophic loss. To assure the continuity of system operation and the efficiency of every component in the event of fire, our maintenance team performs the inspections and functional tests required by international codes and equipment manufacturers. Every visit is documented, every defect reported, and every system left in a verifiable, ready-to-perform condition.
Inspections get missed, certificates expire, valves seize, batteries die, foam degrades, sprinkler heads collect dust, and suppression cylinders quietly lose pressure. By the time anyone notices, the system has either failed an audit or, worse, failed when it was needed.
We see this regularly across the GCC, where fast-growing facilities can outpace their maintenance schedules. That’s why First Advanced provides scheduled and reactive maintenance for the full portfolio of fire safety systems, covering water-based suppression, gaseous and chemical suppression, fire alarm and detection, fire pumps, hydrants and hose systems, passive fire protection and building automation.
Each service visit follows the relevant code (NFPA 25, NFPA 72, NFPA 2001, NFPA 12, NFPA 17/17A, NFPA 20) and the equipment manufacturer’s service manual, so what we test, how we test it, and how often we test it is fully documented and defensible. Below are the systems we maintain across Saudi Arabia and Qatar:
We provide a full fire safety ecosystem with reliable products, smart systems, and expert support, helping you manage risks and protect people daily.
We begin with a free site survey to inventory every fire safety system on your premises, recording type, age, manufacturer, last service date and current condition. From there we build a maintenance plan aligned with NFPA inspection schedules, manufacturer service intervals and your authority's requirements (Saudi Civil Defence or QCDD).
Trained service technicians carry out each scheduled visit per the agreed plan, covering visual inspections, functional tests, performance tests, refills and recharges. Every action is logged on a digital service record, every reading is recorded, and every defect is photographed and reported.
After every visit you receive a service report, a compliance certificate where applicable, and a clear picture of what was done, what was found and what's recommended. Between visits, you have 24/7 emergency support and direct access to the technicians who know your site.
Why choose First Advanced for fire equipment and systems maintenance? Because maintenance is where shortcuts get hidden, until a system is needed and fails. We don’t take shortcuts. Our service technicians are trained on the specific systems they maintain, equipped with the right test instruments, and supervised against checklists that mirror NFPA inspection schedules and manufacturer service intervals. Whether it’s a quarterly flow-switch test, an annual pump performance test or a five-year internal pipe inspection, the work is carried out properly and documented properly on every visit, at every site.
What can you expect between scheduled visits? You get more than just service. Every client has a named account manager, a 24/7 emergency response line, and a maintenance file that travels with their facility. When a deficiency is found, you receive a clear report with photographs, a written recommendation and a fixed-price quote, with no jargon and no surprises. Combined with rapid spare-parts availability across Saudi Arabia and Qatar, your systems are never left in an unverifiable state.

Frequencies are set by NFPA 25 (water-based systems), NFPA 72 (fire alarm), NFPA 2001 (clean agent), NFPA 12 (CO2), NFPA 17/17A (chemical) and NFPA 10 (portable extinguishers), and apply equally under Saudi Civil Defence and QCDD. As a guide: weekly visual checks of valves and gauges, monthly checks of selected items, quarterly functional tests of flow and tamper switches, semi-annual valve exercising, annual full system tests including pump performance, and 5-year internal piping and obstruction inspections. Clean agent and CO2 cylinders also require periodic hydrostatic re-testing.
A standard annual maintenance contract (AMC) covers all scheduled inspections and tests required by code, full service reports and certificates, priority response to breakdowns, parts and labour for routine wear items, and 24/7 emergency support. Larger contracts can include consumables (foam concentrate top-ups, cylinder refills, extinguisher service exchanges) and on-call refurbishment. Every AMC is fixed-price for the year so you can budget accurately.
Yes. We take on maintenance for systems originally installed by other contractors all the time. We start with a baseline audit to bring the system to a verified, code-compliant condition, then move it onto our scheduled maintenance programme. The audit identifies any backlog of overdue tests, expired certificates or defective components, and we provide a clear quote to put things right.
Defects are photographed, logged on the service record, and reported to you the same day with a severity classification of immediate, scheduled or planned. Critical defects, including anything affecting life safety or system readiness, are flagged for emergency repair. Planned defects come with a fixed-price quote so you can authorise the work knowing the cost upfront.
Yes. We refill and recertify FM-200, Novec 1230, Inergen, CO2 and dry chemical cylinders, and recharge wet chemical kitchen systems and foam tanks. Cylinders are returned with full traceability, including agent batch, fill weight and hydrostatic test certificate where applicable, so your system is restored to listed condition and your records remain audit-ready.
